Tickets generally go on sale two weeks prior to the date of the trip and are available to buy ONLINE throught the University online store.

To all our current students who are currently writing up or have just submitted – good luck!

We hope you achieve the grade you need to progress in your chosen career or continue your academic studies.

I have had some people asking about Graduation and i’d just like to reassure you that if you are eligible to Graduate this year, you should be contacted in October regarding arrangements. CLICK HERE for more information.

If you live on campus and your contract ends on 19th September then you may want to take advantage of the second wave of the Exodus Project. This is where you can donate your unwanted goods for the benefit of local charities. The donation point will be the Graduate Games Room and the donation crates will be in place from 13th-19th September. Dontations can include:

Good quality clothing
Clean, functional kitchen equipment and utensils
Non-perishable unopened food
Stationery
clothes hangers
clean bedding
functional electronic equipment

Please place items into the correct crates as this will really assist those collecting the goods – Many thanks!

Trip to Whitby

WHITBY

This traditional maritime town of Whitby is dominated by the cliff-top ruins of the beautiful 13th century Whitby Abbey. With its old cobbled streets, picturesque houses and sandy blue flag beach is a great place for a holiday or short break. Whitby is set among fine stretches of coast with spectacular cliffs, beaches and bays.

CONWY

Conwy castle is a gritty, dark stoned fortress which has the rare ability to evoke an authentic medieval atmosphere. The first time that visitors catch sight of the castle, commanding a rock above the Conwy Estuary and demanding as much attention as the dramatic Snowdonia skyline behind it, they know they are in the presence of a historic site which still casts a powerful spell.

Gradstock 2011

Alexandra Park Festival – from 12:30 for all staff, students and their families. With fun and games for children and adults. Graduate College is located on Alexandra Park (South-West campus). Games, stall etc. will be spread around the area near Graduate Bar and the Bouleward between Cartmel and Lonsdale Colleges.

The evening part of Gradstock will be in the area in and around Graduate Bar and the 3 buses into town will leave from midnight at around 15 minute intervals on Cartmel South Avenue.
